Sports Grants
Sports Grants are provided varios Government Money Programs and also Foundation's. The Government Money Programs and Foundation's efforts are primarily focused on improving health, educational and recreational opportunities, as well as social service programs in urban neighborhoods. The Women's Sports Grants Foundation's GoGirlGo! Ambassador Team
Awards recognize high school teams that demonstrate leadership in their communities by inspiring girls to get involved in sports and physical activities. School, amateur, community, and nonprofit affiliated teams whose members are female; enrolled in grades 9-12; and residents of the United States, its territories, or protectorates are eligible to apply. A total of 20 sports grants of $2,500 each will be awarded in recognition of the outstanding efforts of teams throughout the country..

What is the purpose of the GoGirlGo! Ambassador Team Awards championed by Gatorade?
Recognizing high school teams that demonstrate leadership in their communities by inspiring girls to get involved in sport and physical activity by awarding a total of $50,000 in cash sports grants to 20 teams.
Who will administer the program?
The Women’s Sports Foundation administers the program and The Gatorade Company, a national sponsor of the Women’s Sports Foundation is the sponsor of this program.
Who is eligible to apply for the sports grants program?
School, amateur, community and/or nonprofit affiliated teams whose members are female, enrolled in 9th-12th grade and residents of the United States, its territories or protectorates.
Sports Grants will be made payable to the school, nonprofit institution or 501(c)(3)organization. Proof of nonprofit status and/or 501(c)(3) status is required (if applicable).
What is the amount of the program?
A total of $50,000 in twenty (20) $2,500 sports grants.
What are the deadlines and other relevant dates?
The deadline is July 17, 2009.
